Celebrate your new MarketFront
The MarketFront is more of the Market you love.
On June 29th, 2017 Pike Place Market celebrated the much anticipated opening of the new MarketFront! We invited all of Seattle to join us for Grand Opening, to celebrate this historical moment. Thousands of people made the trek downtown and enjoyed a day of great views, awesome music, and fun activities.

Grand Opening
Grand Opening took place on June 29th, 2017, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. All of Seattle was invited to join us for the ceremony, performances by local musicians and a variety of activities.

2:00pm Grand Opening Ceremony
3:00pm The Pazific – world music with Latin and African rhythms
4:45pm The Dip – an electrifying seven-piece ensemble that melds vintage rhythm, blues and modern pop
6:30pm Grace Love – Seattle’s first lady of soul
Throughout the event participants explored the new space, aided by a MarketFront Passport activity and walking map. The MarketFront Passport activity featured interactive stops – prompting folks to visit new MarketFront vendors, public art installations, craft demonstrations, The Market Commons, and the Market Charm fence! Even though Grand Opening has passed we still encourage you to come down and check out all that the new MarketFront has to offer!

In the Producers Hall, our commercial vendors are in the process of opening! Honest Biscuit is open for business and Old Stove is serving its delicious beers on tap. Little Fish and indi chocolate are coming soon.

Find your Market Charm!
Thank you to our 5,300 (and counting) PikeUp! donors who helped make this historic occasion possible. The time has finally come for you to meet your Market Charm. If you donated before April 21st, 2017 then your Market Charm is ready for viewing. Want to find your Market Charm? There are a couple of different options:
- Check out our Market Charm Finder page and locate your Charm: FIND MY CHARM
- Visit the Market Charm Booth this summer. The booth will be located on the MarketFront under the Pavilion.
When you find your Market Charm don’t forget to take a picture and tag it #MyMarketCharm. If you would like to see your name on the MarketFront click here.
If you donate after April 21ts, 2017 your Charm will be part of our second round of Charm installations, which will begin in the fall of 2017. If you have any questions about your Market Charm please don’t hesitate to email us at info@pikeplacemarketfoundation.org.
The Market Commons
Pike Place Market is more than just fish, fruit and flowers. It is a thriving community in downtown Seattle. The new MarketFront reflects that with 40 low-income senior housing units and a new neighborhood center: The Market Commons. If you want to learn more about The Market Commons click here. Getting to Pike Place Market
When heading down to Pike Place Market we encourage you to use public transit or ride your bike! If you take Sound Transit Link light rail to Westlake Station or a Metro bus to one of many downtown stops the Market is only a short walk away. If you do drive park in the new MarketFront garage at 1901 Western Avenue.
