The Market Commons is a welcoming resource center that offers one-on-one support to navigate community resources and provides an array of community activities to bring neighbors together in Pike Place Market.
Opened in 2017 as part of the MarketFront expansion, this new chapter in the Market Foundation’s program offerings was created to support Pike Place Market residents, workers, and merchants when faced with personal challenges around housing, health and basic needs. The Commons helps support a healthy community model by promoting and increasing access to education, nutritious food, community support, economic stability and a safe neighborhood. Program staff work in close collaboration with community members and partners to anticipate emerging needs in our neighborhood and be nimble in providing resources and offering these programs:
