“We had just spent the weekend in Portland for Eric’s birthday,” wrote Jessica about her now fiancée. “He suggested we take an extra day off and stop by Pike Place Market on our way home. He said we should walk down to the new expansion of the Market. We walked up to the flower and he said, ‘Honey, I got you a flower.’ I turned and looked at him and said, ‘Honey, that’s not my flower, I can’t take someone else’s flower.’ It was when I looked closer that I saw the charm was engraved Eric & Jessica Shaw, and he took that opportunity to get down on one knee.”

“I wanted to arrange a proposal that would create a lasting memory and a specific place that would be forever significant to her,” replied Eric. “I had the forethought to donate for the Charm around Christmas to show her how long I had worked to create this special moment for her. This way we were able to donate to our community and have a lasting symbol of our love, in a place we love.”

Jessica chimed in: “I was over the moon thrilled. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better, more romantic and fitting proposal. Everything was perfect! I told him as we were leaving, ‘This is OUR spot, forever! OUR Spot!’ I would even get married right in OUR spot!”
