Ed Newbold Wildlife Artist
#609 Rachel the Unsung hero
Very few realize that the often-sung song “Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer” is well–we won’t use the now-discredited term “fake news,” but.. Luckily, with a tip-off from a never-to-be-named source from within the Market Foundation, Seattle Wildlife Artist Ed Newbold was able to get visual proof that it actually wasn’t Rudolph with “his nose so bright,” that was leading the sled that night, but, you guessed it, the Pike Place Market’s own beloved Rachel. Not only that, Rachel worked her entire shift the very next day, modestly pulling in charity donations from tourists and regulars who would never have guessed what a grueling work-night she had just pulled off. The event, of course, had to be memorialized and you can have your very own 9 x 12 print of this little-known flight by Wildlife Artist Ed Newbold. Shipped flat on foam board, but not attached to the foam board. Artist info on the back. Trim size 9 x 12″ Image area 6.7 x 9.625″, 130 lb. paper.
