Since 1996, Sunset Supper has been known as THE Celebration of the Summer in Seattle!
What started as a few long tables and a couple cases of wine lining the cobblestone, Sunset Supper has grown to become a favorite food and beverage tasting event of chefs and guests alike, taking place every August in Seattle’s most unique party venue – the historic Pike Place Market.

“It’s a fantastic time to see our fellow restaurant friends and workers, show off your best stuff and try out some things, and support the Market because of all of the fantastic services,” says Chef Daisley Gordon, Executive Chef and Owner of Cafe Campagne in Pike Place Market. Like many vendors, Chef Gordon has participated in more than 20 consecutive Sunset Suppers, often working the grill down the cobblestones from fellow celebrity chef Tom Douglas, who serves at the event every year.

James Beard Award Semi-Finalist Chef Kristi Brown always brings the heat to Sunset Supper – serving everything from grilled pork belly to duck gumbo on the Pike Place Market cobblestones. “For those who have not yet done Sunset Supper, I 100% recommend that you do,” says Arvin Batigan of Communion R&B. “It is not only a good time, but also a great way to connect with other businesses in town. It helps you gain customers that follow you after!”

As the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Pike Place Market Foundation, Sunset Supper brings in 100+ of Seattle’s finest restaurants, wineries, breweries and distilleries – all to raise funds for the Pike Place Market community. This year, we hope to raise over $650,000 to support our programs and social service partners who provide healthy food, housing, and healthcare to our neighbors.
“Any way that we are able to support and give back to the Market is what we are all about,” says Dan Bugge, Owner of Matt’s in the Market and Radiator Whiskey.

“For me, Sunset Supper is one of the more crucial events of the year that highlights everything amazing that our city has to offer,” shares Chef Eraj Jayawickreme, Director of Culinary at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. “It brings chefs and bars and caterers all together in one amazing space that enables us to use the beautiful bounty that is offered in the PNW.”
Sunset Supper is a great event for established restaurants and producers, as well as new businesses who want to get in front of the 1,700 local foodies and civic leaders who love Pike Place Market and frequent Seattle eateries. Vendors are encouraged to bring bite-sized tastes that demonstrate their business’ specialties as a tax-deductible donation to the Pike Place Market Foundation. We encourage staff to mix and mingle, and have a great time under the stars!
The Pike Place Market Foundation is now accepting new and returning vendors for Sunset Supper on Friday, August 16th.
