As we begin 2023, our program staff and service partners are working hard to meet the ongoing and emerging needs of the Market community.
Learn more about how we helped keep the Market strong during the holidays:
$337,900 in individual grants have been distributed to 50 local Pike Place Market farmers to help offset purchases for seeds, bulbs, and root starts. We’re thrilled to be investing in farmers now, to help build up these family-owned businesses for 2023 and beyond.
Our annual gift drive brought in 979 presents and warm winter items for our community. Thank you to everyone who showed some holiday love to seniors, families, and neighbors throughout the Market!
Over this past year, our program staff worked to distribute $63,963 in emergency assistance to 93 Market community members. This safety net helps offer support to people working, living or accessing community services in the Market, who are facing a sudden financial crisis and need to regain stability.
Help us continue to nurture a thriving Market community!
There’s still time to help Market community members who need our support! We have a lot of work ahead of us in 2023 to ensure that the Market remains healthy and stable. Make your gift today to strengthen the Market community and support our senior residents, families, merchants and neighbors.
