Thank you to our Market merchants, daystallers and workers for coming out to our Market community celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Saving the Market! We had such a great time gathering again over good food from Los Agaves and drinks in Unexpected Productions‘ theater.

We heard from special guests including James Beard Award Winner, Leila Rosas, co-owner and chef of Oriental Mart, Market busker Jim Page, and Market artist Jon Strongbow.

Together we watched the new KOMO 4 TV documentary “Labor of Love: Saving Pike Place Market”. Part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations this 30 minute KOMO 4 TV production features the stories first-hand from the advocates who marched the picket lines, collected tens of thousands of signatures and fought significant legal and power battles to save Pike Place Market from the wrecking ball.

We also cheered on fellow merchants and daystallers featured in the documentary about the work that continues to keep the Market strong today.

We also took a Market family photo! Thank you to all who came out and celebrated with us.
