This week goes down in the history books with the Grand Opening of The Market Commons: a neighborhood center in the heart of Pike Place Market.
Former Community Organizer (in the Market!) and now Washington State Speaker of the House, Frank Chopp, led the ribbon cutting ceremony. Joined by our Market social service partners, community members and major donors, together, we took the opportunity to celebrate this expansion of services for the community. The Market Commons carries on the 35-year tradition of the Pike Place Market Foundation to support this thriving, caring community in and around the Market.
