Meet the artists behind NEW public art at Pike Place Market

Join us for Illumination: Art and Conversation in Pike Place Market on Thursday, January 26.

Date & Time: Thursday, January 26 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Atrium Loft in the Economy Building (1433 1st Ave)

Former Pike Place craftsperson Clare Dohna and local artist John Fleming will each give us a peek into their future public artworks to be installed in the Market this spring, as part of the new MarketFront.

Susan Lane, Friends of the Market member and former Market Historical Commission chair, will highlight significant public art works in the Market and the stories behind them. This event is emceed by Nancy Guppy (host/producer of Seattle Channel’s Art Zone).

This event is FREE and open to the public!

In July 2017 over than 200 participants added collective creativity to Western Tapestry, designed by John Fleming.

Illumination: Art and Conversation is part of Illumination, a week-long celebration of the artists whose creations contribute to the dazzling vibrancy of Pike Place Market year-round. Illumination runs from January 23 – January 29. Featuring 220 working artists, along with two dozen art galleries and shops, there are days of art to explore!
