Holiday wishes came true at Pike Place Market

Posted January 10, 2017

Dear Supporters,

Holidays in Pike Place Market are always filled with joy and celebration, but this year was especially bright as our community came together like never before to help our neighbors in need. With your support the Market community provided holiday meals and gifts, as well as the biggest gift of all: homes for our homeless neighbors.

Here is the impact of your donations to Pike Place Market Foundation in December:
  • 333 low-income seniors and families opened hand-wrapped gifts donated by the community.
  • 4 homeless seniors at Pike Market Senior Center moved home; a call they have been waiting years to hear. The Market Foundation’s Safety Net fund covered rent and deposit allowing them move out of the cold and into housing immediately.
  • 2,859 households received 64,000 pounds of groceries from Pike Market Food Bank and 4,407 members at Pike Market Senior Center enjoyed warm meals in our community.
Thank YOU – your gifts make this thriving, caring community at Pike Place Market possible!
As we look to the year ahead, we need to be prepared to serve our community now and into the future. If we missed you this holiday season, please give generously today. Donate Now
In gratitude,
Lillian Sherman
