“JarrBar is small, but its ambitions are big” writes Angela Garbes for The Stranger. JarrBar is a relatively new addition to Pike Place Market, but owner Brian Jarr already has big plans for his Spanish-inspired restaurant and bar. JarrBar is currently located on Western Avenue, but next year, his business will move to the new MarketFront. It will still be a restaurant and bar but also “a retail space where the public can see the production process behind curing and preserving seafood” (Garbes).

The new MarketFront will feature dozens of new local shops and restaurants, as well as more space for farmers and artists, more low-income housing, 300 parking spaces, and a public plaza for all to enjoy the waterfront views.

We look forward to enjoying JarrBar’s new digs next year, when the new MarketFront opens to the public in spring 2017.
