Visit the Pike Up! booth in Pike Place Market
While shopping in Pike Place Market this holiday season, don’t forget to stop by the Pike Up! booth on the cobblestones. Market Charms and Bronze Hoofprints make the most memorable gift for everyone on your list.
Write your name, Mom’s name, kid’s name, or even your dog’s name on a Market Charm or Hoofprint. Add-on some chocolate, wine or a ceramic piggybank to sweeten your gift! Look for the Pike Up! booth across from Le Panier every Saturday and Sunday starting November 28.
Or beat the crowds and design your name or your family’s name on a Market Charm or Bronze Hoofprint now: pikeup.org/donate-now

Senior Center Spotlight: Patti

Patti (left) and Whitley, the Senior Center’s Member Resources Coordinator, and Patti’s “saving grace.”
For many seniors in downtown Seattle, the Pike Market Senior Center is their home for the holidays. After moving to Seattle from Spokane, Patti (pictured right) found herself alone, living in a shelter, and seeking a community for support.
Following up on a lead from the Belltown Community Center, Patti visited the Pike Market Senior Center and she immediately felt at home. “I found a really positive support group here at the Senior Center,” says Patti.
For Patty, the Senior Center is about friendships and feeling connected, and much more. “The Senior Center staff has been wonderful. Their social workers connected me with housing. Their free breakfasts and lunches help supplement my diet and the cooking classes help me cook more healthfully. They also helped me with my resume and work search. I now have a follow-up job interview with the City of Seattle, and it looks good. I am also working on a food line for Trader Joe’s. It’s so wonderful to have goals in mind!”
This holiday season, share joy with seniors in downtown Seattle.
