Yesterday, our friends at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel came to the Market and volunteered in the Pike Place Urban Garden. Hotel staff planted vegetable seeds, which will be transplanted into garden beds once the seedlings are big enough. Happy National Volunteer month to the Fairmont Olympic, and thank you for braving the rain & wind and getting your hands dirty!

Since 2013, the Pike Place Urban Garden has grown and donated healthy fruits and veggies to the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank. The garden is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom are residents of Pike Place Market. This year volunteers have already contributed over 500 hours of work to the garden!
