Dating back to the 1963, the “Friends of the Market” continue their hard work to save and preserve Seattle’s beloved Pike Place Market.
Back in their early advocacy days they fought off the bulldozers and a city-wide plan to demolish the Market. Now, 50 years later, they continue their citizen-advocacy work with a new initiative to preserve the historic artwork found around every nook and cranny in the Market.
The Pike Place Market Foundation is proud to support the Friends new initiative with a grant of $3,000. Learn more about the Friends of the Market: http://friendsofthemarket.net/index.html
