Food Access Program

Pike Place Market Foundation

The Food Access Program makes healthy, fresh food more easily accessible for our neighbors who live in and around Pike Place Market and who struggle with food insecurity.

To alleviate hunger in our community, the Food Access Program distributes SNAP (EBT/food stamp) matching funds, distributes produce coupons (“Pike Bucks”), delivers bags of fresh Market produce to the Market’s Preschool and other local preschools – offering bags at a discount price to families – and provides nutrition education and cooking classes.

Last year, a $25,000 grant from The Market Foundation helped provide $124,000 worth of produce to 4,300 shoppers.

Apply online for an EBT Bonus Card
