Volunteering your time and talent is a fun and easy way to support the Pike Place Market community. Each year, hundreds of dedicated volunteers contribute thousands of hours to ensure the success of Market programs and events.

Special Events Volunteer Opportunities
Arcade Lights (March), Sunset Supper (August), and Cooking with Class (September). These are large food and beverage events that are 21+, so volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. We also produce a handful of smaller events throughout the year, so let us know if you’d like to sign-up for our volunteer email list to receive more information about events.
MarketFront Outreach Team
The new Pike Place MarketFront expansion will transform a surface parking lot into a waterfront-facing side of the Market. We need teams of volunteers to help educate our friends and neighbors about this expansion of the Market at local events and in Pike Place Market.
Education Program Tour Guides
Help the Pike Place Market School Program by guiding classes through the Market.
Volunteer with Social Services in the Market
There are ongoing volunteer opportunities with the Pike Market Senior Center, the Food Bank, the Preschool, Heritage House at the Market, and with the Food Access Program. Volunteers work as food distributors, deliver groceries to home bound Market residents, work in a classroom, and much more! This is a great opportunity to complete service hours, bring your organization or school to volunteer, or to simply enjoy volunteering as an individual.
If you are interested in volunteering with the Pike Market Food Bank, please contact Brian Anderson, Food Bank Manager directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (206) 626-6462.
