Volunteer Opportunities

Pike Place Market Foundation

Volunteering your time and talent is a fun and easy way to support the Pike Place Market community. Each year, hundreds of dedicated volunteers contribute thousands of hours to ensure the success of Market programs and events.

For more information, please contact us directly at volunteer@pikeplacemarket.org or (206) 774-5255 or fill out the volunteer form below. One of our staff members will be in touch with you shortly.

Join A Committee!

Help by lending your personal or professional skills on one of the following committees – Marketing & Communications, Stewardship, Sponsorship, Finance, Donor Engagement, and Community Services.

Special Events Volunteer Opportunities

We always need help in our big events like Fete Le Market, Sunset Supper and Cooking With Class. It’s a great way to give back and then enjoy the events. Volunteers help with set-up, greeting guests, and more. These are large food and beverage events that are 21+, so volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. We also produce a handful of smaller events throughout the year that rely on volunteer support.

Let us know if you’d like to sign-up for our volunteer email list to receive more information about events and learn more about our 2019 Calendar of Events!

Volunteer with Social Services in the Market

There are ongoing volunteer opportunities with the Pike Market Senior Center, the Food Bank, the Preschool, Heritage House at the Market, and with the Food Access Program. Volunteers work as food distributors, deliver groceries to home bound Market residents, work in a classroom, and much more! This is a great opportunity to complete service hours, bring your organization or school to volunteer, or to simply enjoy volunteering as an individual.

If you are interested in volunteering with the Pike Market Food Bank: Contact Jill Weidman, Food Bank Volunteer Manager directly at jill@pmsc-dftb.org or call (206) 626-6462.

Share Your Talents

Help The Market Commons community center enhance their programming by teaching a class or workshop. Popular programs in the past have been art classes, education discussions, tech help and cooking classes.

Host a Collection Drive

Throughout the year, The Market Commons collects items for those in need such as food, hygiene kits, warm coats or back to school supplies.

For more information on all of these volunteer opportunities, please contact us directly at volunteer@pikeplacemarket.org or (206) 774-5255
